In 2008, John completed a landscape plan and construction details for the new assisted living complex at Dogwood Village in Orange. In 2010, the management approached him about designing a garden in a little-used area behind the building. There was already a large rain garden located in the center of the space. John used his knowledge of healing garden design to develop plans for the garden.
